Yes , the logs are dried either in one of our drying container or on the drying floor.
The Hot air blown to the container is generated from our wood boiler using the waste wood from our manufacturing process or woodchips from forestry operation
The drying floor uses the waste heat from a Anaerobic digester CHP cooling system.
As a results the logs are dried to a moisture contents below 20% moisture.
What size are the logs-Are the logs suitable to burn on wood burning stoves and open fires?
Yes, our standard logs are cut and split to a 8” length (+/-1 “) which size suitable for both, wood burner and open fire.
Where are the logs coming from. Are the logs sustainably sourced?
Yes, all of our wood is sustainably sourced from reputable suppliers locally. The Woodsure Ready to Burn scheme means the provenance and traceability of the logs is checked
What species of wood are they
We provide sustainably sourced hardwood and softwood logs which have been kiln dried. Hardwood species are primarily Oak, Ash, Birch, Beech and Sycamore. Softwood species include firs, spruce, larch and pine.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver logs up to 20 miles from our yard in Bitterley SY8 . it is free delivery for the first 10 miles. Additional charges apply for longer deliveries.
